Traffic & Safety Awareness Campaign
The Blackstone Master Association Board of Directors has initiated a project to bring awareness, of both speeding and failure to completely stop at stop signs, to drivers within the Association. We have purchased a number of lawn signs that carry the message, “Please Come To A Complete Stop” and “Keep Kids Alive Drive 17”.
We would like to ask whether you would be willing to help us broadcast this message by allowing us to put a lawn sign on your property for a week or two. You would be helping us make our streets just that much safer.
Our Goal
The Blackstone Master Association Board of Directors recognizes that there will always be some level of unsafe driving on both private and public streets. The Board’s mission is to reduce that level. Beyond that, drivers have the absolute responsibility to drive legally and responsibly.
The Board recognizes that this mission requires us to involve our residents and to educate drivers within Blackstone by as many means as possible. Here’s what we plan to do!
The Board will obtain the use of county resources (radar trailer) as often as available.
The Board will have S.T.A.R. officers patrol the community to help promote safe driving.
The Board will send out traffic-related messages to our homeowners via E-mail blasts & Newsletter articles.
The Board will proactively discuss traffic issues at board meetings and will receive updates from the Security Liaison. The Board will host crime, safety, and traffic-related information on the community website.
If you would like to host a sign on your lawn please advise the Community Management Team in the Blackstone Clubhouse at (916) 933-8200 or blackstoneclubhouse.ca@fsresidential.com.
Our staff will be checking on the signs occasionally but would appreciate it if you could keep an eye on them as well and re-plant them if they fall over or lean.
